How Bronymec runs its additive manufacturing on Fabrex.

Bronymec is a Basque manufacturer with more than 25 years of experience machining high-performance thermoplastics and composites. On that foundation it built BIM 3DLab, its additive manufacturing line based on HP Multi Jet Fusion — bringing industrial 3D printing to customers who need functional parts, and need them fast.
Bronymec has invested in that line as a discipline in its own right — with backing from the SPRI Group through the Basque Digital Innovation Hub (BDIH Konexio) programme — treating design, printing and post-processing as a single engineering process. In 2024 it was selected by HP as the first beta tester in Europe for PA12 FR, the halogen-free, flame-retardant material (UL94 V0, EN45545-2) built for regulated sectors such as railway, electrical and aerospace.

The challenge before Fabrex
An additive quote isn't priced like a machined one. It turns on build volume, print time and post- processing, and before Fabrex every incoming request was re-typed, re-checked and re-priced by hand. As volumes climbed — across additive and the company's long-standing machining line alike — that manual process became the thing slowing down the answer to a customer.
None of that is unusual on its own. The cost shows up later: in the time it takes to quote, and in how hard it is to see the whole business in one place.
Where Fabrex fits
